WHAT IS A VALVE?

CONCEPT OF BALL VALVE

This type of ball valve is a quarter-turn valve consisting of a hollow, rotating ball. This hollow, rotating ball controls the flow of liquid. When the hollow part of the ball is in line with the flow, the valve is open, and the liquid can flow through. The valve closes when the solid part of the ball is in line with the flow. Now the ball rotates to 90-degree. Fully open and fully close of the valve is also possible to position. It allows regulating more precise flow. There are two ports of ball valves in general. One is for an inlet, and another one is for an outlet. You can find three ports & four ports ball valves, and four ports ball valves are rare. Everything depends on valve assembling & installation. It can determine how the 90-degree rotation of the ball directs the liquid flow.

INTRODUCTION OF MOTORIZED BALL VALVE

A bi-directional motor drives a motorized ball valve. It supplies the necessary torque using a motor; This valve will open in 4 to 5 seconds. Motorized Ball Valve consists of a Brass valve and an actuator. The actuator generally needs 24 volt AC or DC power to operate. It has both clockwise & counterclockwise control inputs.

Motorized ball valves have greater use in HVAC. These can also be helpful for air conditioning systems, heating and cooling lines. The feedback signal of these valves is very vital. It happens when the valve is fully open. This feature can operate different devices based on opening the valve.

The motorized ball valve is convenient for remote flow control applications. The internal fluid control system of motorized valves is generally identical. DIFFERENT TYPES OF MOTORIZED BALL VALVE

Quarter-turn motorized ball valve: This valve has a 90° turn to open and close a port. Opening and closing the ports to precise fluid move is more important. The actuators depend on ball valves, plugs, and chokes for this purpose.

Multi-turn motorized ball valve: This type use balls, gates, or other tools. It is helpful to open and close valves with special needs.

Linear-motorized ball valve: It works with control valves for fluid flow.
